Your Child is in Good Hands

From the moment you reach out to us to the day your child leaves our program, the professional, experienced, and compassionate Rising Above ABA team will be with you every step of the way.

We start with initial consultations and benefits checks before moving onto assessments and developing individualized treatment plans. With the help of your family’s “personal trainer,” you can navigate the steps with confidence, knowing that you’re not alone.

At Rising Above ABA, we believe in a treatment process for autism that is research-based and tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual child and their family. If you’re a Massachusetts family looking for effective treatment for autism, we encourage you to reach out at 888.572.7473 and learn more about how our program can help your child reach their full potential.

First Steps: Intake and Benefits Checks

When you first reach out to the Rising Above ABA team, we will walk you through an initial consultation. You can reach out either over the phone or online. Our team will ask you about:

  • Your child’s current skills
  • Your family’s treatment goals
  • Your child’s insurance benefits

After the consultation, one of our team members will conduct a benefits check to make sure that your child’s insurance will cover the cost of treatment. This includes both verifying that your insurance will cover ABA therapy as well as reviewing your child’s diagnostic report.

Next Steps: Assessments and Authorizations

The next step in the process is to complete an assessment. While your child may have an existing diagnosis of autism, our in-house assessment can provide additional information that will help us create a treatment plan that is tailored to your child’s needs.

Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) will be part of the next steps in the process, which includes:

  • Explaining the evaluation process
  • Interviewing you and your child
  • Observing your child in various settings
  • Developing a treatment plan

After the assessment is complete, we will work with you to submit an authorization request to your insurance company. Once we have received authorization, treatment can begin.

The Rising Above ABA Treatment Process

Once we have received authorization for treatment, our team will work with you to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your child’s individual needs. Our programs and services include:

  • Individualized treatment plans – We create treatment plans that are based on each child’s specific goals and needs.
  • ABA therapy – Known as the gold standard treatment for autism, ABA therapy is research-based and proven to be effective.
  • In-home services – We offer in-home services to help families implement treatment plans.
  • Social skills groups – Our social skills groups help children with autism practice new skills in a group setting.
  • School supports – We provide consultation and support to children who are attending school
  • Social skills groups – Our social skills groups help children with autism practice new skills in a group setting.

There can be challenges associated with an autism diagnosis, but with the right treatment plan, children with autism can make significant and rise above any challenges they may face.

FAQs

What are the main steps in the ABA treatment process at Rising Above ABA?

Our structured onboarding process begins with an initial intake call and insurance verification, followed by a comprehensive clinical assessment conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Based on this evaluation, the BCBA designs an individualized treatment plan tailored to your child’s unique needs and pairs your family with a dedicated therapist to begin sessions.

How do you determine which ABA program is right for my child?

During the initial clinical assessment, your BCBA evaluates your child’s developmental strengths, communication level, social skills, and daily routine. From there, we recommend a customized care plan selecting from our specialized ABA therapy programs such as our focused Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) for young children, to ensure optimal progress.

Where do therapy sessions take place during treatment?

Care delivery is flexible based on your child's clinical needs and your family's preferences. Treatment can take place directly in your home, out in the community to practice real-world scenarios, or at our state-of-the-art Norwell ABA Center in Norwell, MA.

How long does it take from the first call to starting our child's first session?

While many providers across Massachusetts have three-month waitlists, our intake team works efficiently to complete benefit verification, initial assessments, and plan design as quickly as possible. Our goal is to move your family from initial contact to your child's first therapy session in approximately six weeks.
