Our Approach

How we support early learners

Some children are already beginning to communicate — through words, signs, or an AAC device — and starting to notice other kids. The Early Learner Track meets them right there and helps them grow social, play, and independence skills with teaching that feels like play.

1. Meet them where they are

An individualized, play-based plan from a BCBA.

2. Build the foundations

Communication, social skills, and learning-to-learn.

3. Carry it home

Parent training so progress continues beyond sessions.

What your child will work on

  • Communication — spoken and non-verbal — and the modality that fits best.
  • Social and play skills with other children.
  • Adaptive living skills like toileting, dressing, and feeding.
  • “Learning to learn” skills and emotional regulation.
  • Reducing challenging behaviors with positive, function-based strategies.

Why families trust us with their youngest learners

Progress at this age is built on relationships and routine. Our therapists show up consistently and prepared, so your child works with people they know and trust — and you have one dedicated point of contact from day one, plus a fast path to your first session.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between the Early Learner Track and EIBI?

Both serve young children, but the Early Learner Track is a strong fit for children who already have some emerging communication and are beginning to show interest in peers, while EIBI is our most comprehensive, highest-support option for children at the earliest developmental stages. Our assessment helps determine the right fit.

Will my child see the same therapist?

That’s the heart of what we do. Consistency is how kids make progress, so we protect the therapist-child relationship and give every family one dedicated point of contact from the first call.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. Rising Above ABA is in-network with MassHealth and most major commercial insurers in Massachusetts. Our intake team will verify your benefits and walk you through any out-of-pocket costs before you start — no surprises.

How long is the waitlist?

Most families wait far less with us than the three-month waitlists common across Massachusetts. Our goal is to move you from first contact to your child’s first session in about six weeks.

Or call (781) 414-5940 to speak with our intake team.
