Our Approach

How EIBI works at Rising Above

When a toddler is just beginning to communicate, still learning to connect and play, or having big feelings that make everyday moments hard, early, consistent support can change everything that comes next. EIBI gives young children the frequent practice they need to make steady, lasting progress.

1. Play-based plan

A BCBA designs a plan built just for your child.

2. A consistent team

The same trusted faces, session after session.

3. Skills that transfer

We teach through games and routines so skills show up at home and in the community.

4. You’re coached too

Parent coaching helps you carry strategies into daily life.

Early Priorities

What we focus on at this age

  • Functional communication and language: making wants and needs known.
  • Social and play skills: connecting, sharing, and playing with others.
  • Daily living skills: everyday wins like toileting and dressing.
  • Replacing challenging behaviors:  with safer, more effective ways to cope.

Is EIBI right for my child?

EIBI is often the right fit for toddlers and preschoolers in the very beginning stages of communicating, still building attention to other people, whose behaviors get in the way of learning, or who are just starting toileting.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is EIBI (Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention)?

EIBI is an intensive, evidence-based form of ABA therapy for very young children, usually toddlers and preschoolers. A BCBA designs an individualized, play-based plan delivered consistently each week to build communication, social, and daily-living skills during the most important developmental window.

Where are you located, and do you offer in-home therapy?

Our center is at 70 Accord Park Drive in Norwell, MA, serving the South Shore, Boston metro, and North Shore. Depending on the program, we also provide ABA therapy in your home, in the community, and via telehealth.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. Rising Above ABA is in-network with MassHealth and most major commercial insurers in Massachusetts. Our intake team will verify your benefits and walk you through any out-of-pocket costs before you start — no surprises.

How long is the waitlist?

Most families wait far less with us than the three-month waitlists common across Massachusetts. Our goal is to move you from first contact to your child’s first session in about six weeks.
